What are participation fees and fundraising proceeds used for?
Having a successful and competitive lacrosse program like we have at Ridge High School requires funds beyond what the school can provide. In addition to the participation fees payed by each player, the Board of Ridge Lacrosse, Inc. (RLI) is responsible for raising funds that all go directly to support the boys’ lacrosse program. The Board operating budget covers the following expenditures:
This year, rather than raising the participation fee and continually asking you for money through various small fundraisers,

In addition to the participation fees payed by each player, the Board of Ridge Lacrosse, Inc. (RLI) is responsible for raising funds that all go directly to support the boys’ lacrosse program. The Board operating budget covers the following expenditures:
- Two coach stipends (the Varsity Assistant Coach and the Freshman Assistant Coach)
- Team uniforms for 75+ players (shorts and two shooting shirts)
- Indoor practice time (as needed due to inclement spring weather – over 8 hours needed last year because of the snow)
- Pre-season team trip (JV/Varsity team plays a premier game then attend a college game – the 2018 team played and beat nationally-ranked Conestoga at Rutgers then attended a Rutgers lacrosse game)
- White Out game promotions
- Senior Night ceremony and gifts
- Yoga for the players
- Professional game photographer
- Banquet (Every year funds are used to cover the costs for the Scott and Shaw families to attend the banquet to be part of honoring their sons who are former players)
- Various donations on behalf of the players (In 2018, donations were made to Katie King and funds used towards a memorial bench for Coach Duffy and Schambach Strong Showcase)
