PRESEASON LETTER / REGISTRATION INFO

Dear Ridge Girls Lacrosse Families,
Happy New Year, and welcome to the official 2020 preseason! Please read the following information carefully, there are a number of impending deadlines to keep in mind as we work together toward March’s season kickoff.
I’ll try to lay out every step of the way as clearly and simply as possible. Our new Ridge Girls Lacrosse website will help consolidate key links and tabs and will prove to be a great resource through the season. All players and parents are encouraged to familiarize themselves @ www.ridgelaxgirls.com where you’ll find calendars, contact info, a new payment portal and more.
As we move into January, ISP competition continues for Ridge 1 and Ridge 2 teams, captains’ practices are ongoing, and program-wide training will begin Sunday, January 5 at Centercourt in Gillette. Please make every effort to arrive on time, the sessions are short. The expectation is that all players at all levels will participate in the Sunday clinics. In addition, Varsity players are strongly encouraged to participate on our Ridge T3 Triple Threat tournament team, with games scheduled for the evenings of January 5 and 26. Please sign up at: https://t3lax.leagueapps.com/leagues/lacrosse/1175623-triple-threat-challenge-winter-2019-2020.
Finally, players at all levels will have an opportunity to work in the weight room with Coach Moose this winter. Information on timing will be forthcoming from Coaches Moose and MG.
Ridge Girls Lacrosse, as with most Ridge sports, requires a player participation fee to subsidize a variety of program costs not covered by the school.
In an effort to minimize confusion and shortages in ordering apparel, we’ve made the decision to follow the boys’ program lead and build player package apparel into the registration process. As such, the 2020 participation fee will be $300, with a $150 installment due by January 15 and the remaining $150 due by March 1.
To be clear, payment is made on our team website. Sizing is provided to Universal. Player package apparel orders will be processed through Universal once an initial payment is made through the team website.
Please join us on Tuesday evening, January 14 at 7pm, for a presentation by Varsity Head Coach MG Hollingsworth. He will share a 2020 season overview and expectations, introduce his coaching staff and answer any questions. The meeting will be held in the RHS cafeteria.

- PLAYER REGISTRATION
Ridge Girls Lacrosse, as with most Ridge sports, requires a player participation fee to subsidize a variety of program costs not covered by the school.
- Costs covered by the Board of Education include: transportation to and from games, some coaching stipends, referees, field equipment and game-day uniforms
- Costs covered by Ridge Girls Lacrosse include: coaching stipends not funded by the BOE, game videography, inclement-weather indoor practice and turf time, website and communication fees, team-building funds for all three levels and more
- PLEASE NOTE – beginning this year, all supplemental player uniform items (Ridge GLAX team sweatshirt, sweatpants and shooting shirt) will be included in the player participation fee

- HOW TO REGISTER (links are available NOW)
- Before January 15, please visit our website @www.ridgelaxgirls.com, click on the “Online Payments” tab and pay either the $150 installment, or the entire $300 fee for the season
- Next, go to Universal’s dedicated Ridge GLAX team store website @https://www.allusportswear.com/team-stores/ridge-girls-lacrosse.html and provide sizing information for your 2020 player package
